How is that different from a primary care physician?
A traditional primary care physician simply manages your health care needs, with no special perks — you might wait weeks for an appointment and rarely get more than fifteen minutes when you're finally seen. A concierge doctor is your personal primary care physician. They work for you, not the health insurance companies, and with a smaller patient panel they have much more time to really listen and address all of your healthcare needs.
Does the insurance company pay for concierge medicine?
Your insurance will not cover the subscription fee for concierge services — that is an out-of-pocket expense. Think of it as paying a little extra for concierge service at a hotel.
